Signature & Special Dishes at Komoda Store & Bakery
At Komoda Store & Bakery , four standout items are especially celebrated—and often sell out early:
Cream Puffs (Custard-filled)
These light pastry shells are filled with creamy vanilla custard. Komoda reportedly sells around 400 cream puffs per day . Many locals and visitors say they are the “star” of the bakery.
Stick Donuts (Donuts on a Stick)
A signature twist: mini donut balls skewered on a stick, glazed or coated. This creative format was invented when the bakery turned excess donut bits into a fun and shareable treat.
Guava Malasadas & Traditional Malasadas
Deep-fried dough, sometimes filled with guava jam, with a tropical Hawaiian flavor. Komoda is known for both regular and guava malasadas. The guava version is often praised for having fruit-like taste rather than an overly sweet filling.
Long Johns, Butter Rolls, & Other Baked Goods
In addition to their headliner items, Komoda also crafts Long Johns, butter rolls, pies, cakes, cookies, and various breads and bakery goods.
Because of their popularity, many of these items (cream puffs, malasadas, etc.) are known to “sell out early” in the morning.
